Refund Policy

At CJM Auto Electrics, we take pride in the quality of our work and the products we offer. We aim to ensure our customers are satisfied with both ourauto electrical and air conditioning services and any retail items purchased through our business. This Refund Policy outlines your rights and our responsibilities in accordance with theAustralian Consumer Law (ACL).

1. Australian Consumer Law

Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement if:

  • A product or service has a major failure, or

  • A product or service is not of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, or as described.

You are also entitled to compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage resulting from a failure.

2. Services – Auto Electrical & Air Conditioning

Refunds or rework may be offered if:

  • The service provided was defective or not completed with due care and skill

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Change of mind

  • Misdiagnosis by the customer

  • Delays caused by suppliers or third-party issues beyond our control

If you are dissatisfied, please contact us within 7 days of the service date. We will assess your claim fairly and in accordance with consumer law.

3. Retail Items – Parts & Accessories

If you purchase any parts, electrical components, or accessories from us, your rights under Australian Consumer Law apply.

You are entitled to a refund, exchange, or repair if the item is:

  • Faulty or defective

Refunds or exchanges will not be offered if:

  • You change your mind

  • The item was damaged due to misuse or improper installation

  • The item is returned without proof of purchase

Items must be returned within 14 days, unused, and in their original packaging, where possible.

4. Non-Returnable Items

For safety and hygiene reasons, or due to manufacturer policy, some items are not eligible for return unless faulty. This includes:

  • Electrical components once installed

  • Custom-ordered or specially sourced parts

5. How to Request a Refund or Return

To request a refund or return, please provide:

  • Your name and contact details

  • Date of purchase or service

  • Description of the issue

  • Proof of purchase (receipt or invoice)

  • Photos if applicable

6. Payment Refunds

Payments made via PayPal will be refunded to the original method of payment. Please note, transaction fees charged by PayPal or other providers may not be refundable.
